What Happened to January??

Okay..I lost January...I know I had it around here somewhere...but now it's gone! And now we are five days into February. Well, even though I misplaced a month, I was fairly productive in my non-blogging life. I managed to begin and finish...yes, I did say finish, several hats for charity, a pair of socks, and fingerless gloves. I began even more projects that have yet to be completed. Here are a few of the finished items:

These Cabled Fingerless Gloves were made with extra yarn sent to me by my Ravelry Scarf Exchange partner. It is Berroco Peruvia in the "Dragon" colorway. I have another skein that I may make a hat with or perhaps something for DH.

This Charity Hat was made from Lion Brand Wool Ease in Navy, although the photo is coming across as a royal blue shade. It was made for the 4,000 Hats in Forty Days Knit for Lent project. I hope to make as many hats as my stash and time allow. Here is another one: it is the Marsan Watchcap by Stacyjoy Elkins.

I also managed to begin and finish my SAMK5 socks for January. I made Bellatrix. I used Paton's Kroy Socks yarn in Vista Sea colorway. It was a fun, easy knit and a finished pair of socks in a month for me is a miracle! What do you think?

I have also started my socks for February..I am making Stephanie Pearl McPhee's Earl Grey. I am using Regia Strech in Grey..quel surprise! My pattern may be getting a bit lost in the mottle of the yarn, but I am still liking the way that they are coming out, so I am not going to frog anything. They may be for DH or possibly DD. We shall see...

Here is another quickie knit that I started last night and have almost finished...but I ran out of floss in the blue. It is the House Book Scarf from Charmed Knits. I am making a Ravenclaw version for my swap partner for HSKS4. Shhhhh...don't tell her! I am using DMC embroidery floss and size 0 DPNs.

Well, it's no wonder I did not get to post during January...I was too busy knitting (and doing some quilting too, but that's another story for another day). February, thankfully, has an extra day in which to make up for my lost month.

Love the fingerless gloves. I really need to make a pair for myself. I keep seeing them on everyone's blogs and have glove envy. Time for me to start a pair.
