I'm in training...
for the Summer Olympic games being held on Ravelry. I will be knitting for Team Red Sox Nation in the 2008 Ravelympics. I am competing in "Shawl Relay", "Amigurumi-n-Toys Toss", and the "Felted Freestyle". There were many other events that I could certainly qualify for, such as "WIPs Wrestling" or "Sock Put" and "Scarf Stroke". But I decided that I really needed to make my first Clapotis..seeing as I am probably one of the last knitters on the planet who hasn't made one. And I think it is a doable project for me in 17 days. I am gathering supplies as part of my training..printing off spreadsheets and questioning experienced "Clap" artists for their best tips and information. I will be using stash yarn, my Knitpicks Gossamer in "Sweet Pea"
I also plan on making a felted hedghog which would qualify for both the Amigurumi Toss and Felted Freestyle. I may be biting off waaaay more than I can chew with this stuff, but it's all for fun. And I know I work better under a deadline...so I am back in training!
